Anime Digest
This movie is adapted from the manga Kimetsu no Yaiba by Koyoharu Gotouge. This movie follows the first season of Demon slayer anime that is adapted from the manga. Rengoku Kyojuro is a flame Hashira, that is a higher-ranked demon slayer, he was set on a journey to kill the demon that caused the death of 40 people. Kamado Tanjiro along with his younger sister Nezuko, Inosuke, and Zenitsu join Rengoku in the mission. They board the rumored Mugen train where they are put to deep sleep by the lower Kizuki demon Enmu. They unexpectedly run into an upper three of twelve Kizuki, Akaza. They fight the demons putting their lives on the line.
The Feel-Good Part
Rengoku, the flame Hashira is a very outstanding person. His fighting skills are top-notch. The way he is instantly liked and respected by his juniors Tanjiro, Inosuke, and Zenitsu is adorable. They call him big brother and they rely on Rengoku to fight the demons. The fight scenes are really good.
The Disappointing Factor
At the end of the first season, we get a brief introduction of the Hashiras, but we didn’t get to see them in the movie this movie is more concentrated on the flame pillar.
In-Depth Analysis
Upon hearing the news about the demon on the Mugen train which caused the death of fourty people, Rengoku along with his juniors Tanjiro, Inosuke, and Zenitsu boards the train. Inside the train lives a lower kizuki demon Enmu, who puts people to sleep and kills them in their sleep. All of them fall asleep but Nezuko stays awake as she is a demon, Tanjiro realizes he is dreaming and he wakes up. Tanjiro leaves Nezuko to wake everyone up as he goes to the top of the train to fight Enmu. They wake up and defeat Enmu while protecting the passengers. They unexpectedly run into Akaza, an upper three demon of the twelve Kizuki. Rengoku helps Tanjiro who is injured with his breathing and fights Akaza. Akaza tries to pursue Rengoku to become a demon as he s very strong. They have a very intense battle anyone who interferes with them will end up dying, so Tanjiro and others decide to sit back and leave it to Rengoku so that they won’t become a burden to him. In the end Rengoku and Akaza, both end up heavily injured and Akaza runs away as the sun rises.
Star Power
The voice actors did an excellent job the animation is top-notch.
Overall Opinion
Both the story and animation are excellent, fighting scenes are gorgeous and breathtaking this movie is a must-watch you will understand it better if you watch the first season before watching the movie.
