The Feel Good Part

This supernatural thriller reintroduces the Monkey King in a fresh and unique new vision, in which the character appears to abandon his divinity in order to suffer and sacrifice for love as a simple mortal.

The Disappointing Factor

Unfortunately, the rest of the movie isn’t up to par. The acting is shaky, the tale is rushed, and there are some musical interludes that are absolutely unnecessary.

In-Depth Analysis

The mighty Monkey King, Sun Wu Kong, becomes known far and wide as an undefeatable warrior after being charmed by a vengeful spirit. The Monkey King becomes renowned as the mighty Winning Buddha because he is unmatched in any conflict. Despite his terrifying title, some dare to challenge him, the most powerful of whom being the monk Tang Sanzang. Sanzang believes it is his responsibility to vanquish the terrible spirit within the Monkey King, no matter the cost. When confronted by the Monkey King, Sanzang and Wu Kong quickly become embroiled in a furious battle. Sanzang is dealt a horrible setback despite his best attempts. However, Wu Kong’s spirit of resentment is revealed before he can deliver his ultimate strike. When confronted with a fallen goddess of heaven and earth who has been linked to Wu Kong’s horrible fate for three centuries, the Monkey King is overcome by curiosity rather than hate.

Star Power

Sun Wukong’s fictitious protagonist capabilities are as limitless as his own longevity, and the Chinese entertainment industry is compressing them to the breaking point.

Overall Opinion

Overall, the picture was good but lacked graphics; yet, there are various references to ” Journey To The West,” along with a modest homage to the 1964 animated masterpiece “Havoc In Heaven,” one of the most famous and renowned versions of the novel.
