Fox Fairy Teases Childe is a Chinese movie. The plot of the movie is very interesting. Wang Tai Chang saves fox girl Yu Ji from a thunder trial that could’ve taken her life. Yu Ji is grateful and to show her gratitude she offers to marry her daughter Xiao Cui, a fairy fox to Wang Tai Chang’s son. He accepts the offer. This marks the start of a happy relationship between an idiot yet adorable husband and his fox fairy wife.
The Feel-Good Part
There are so many feel-good parts in the movie as the main characters grow fond of each other. The movie is visually appealing immersing the viewers in the fantasy experience. The main characters who were a little skeptical of each other at first start to trust each other and then defend each other. The character development and relationship arc of Xiao Cui and Yuan Feng is beautifully written.
The Disappointing Factors
The biggest disappointing factor of the show is probably its extravagant dialogue. The fantasy world setting may allow the dialogues to take a complicated route but sometimes they sounded extremely exaggerated. The other disappointing factor is the story itself. The viewers are introduced to so many characters with no contributing factor to the story that it becomes hard to keep track of the main storyline.

Yu Ji is a fox girl who was saved by Wang Tai Chang from a dangerous thunder trial that could have cost her life. Yu Ji is grateful for his kindness and wants to repay him for saving her life. She offers the hand of her daughter, Xiao Cui, for Wang Tai Chang’s son, Yuan Feng as a token of gratitude. He readily agrees which leads to their marriage. On the same night, Xiao Cui finds out her husband is a dim-witted person. She tries to trick him into breaking off the marriage. But he refuses to let go of her over and again. On the other hand, another fox girl Zi Yu sends Yin Li to capture humans. She needs them to cultivate more power and grow stronger to save a man named Yuan Sheng. She tries to accuse Xiao Cui of being a demon by spreading rumors about her. Yuan Feng defends Xiao Cui but being kind-hearted and slow he is bullied by others. Xiao Cui decided to protect him and make him smarter but there’s a price to pay for everything. The movie has an intriguing plot but takes melodrama to a serious level. The fantasy world setting sometimes proves to be an advantage of the show but sometimes makes everything too excessive.
Star Power
The star power of the show is the male and female lead actors. They were the life of the entire movie. Most of the cast delivered a good performance. The chemistry between the leads was beautiful and came out looking natural.

Overall, the movie is an average fantasy thriller with a romantic storyline at its core. The movie has its good points but it’s not something memorable. The movie tries to introduce a lot of elements within a limited time frame making it difficult for viewers to keep up with everything.
