Movie Digest

In the directory of Manatsanun Panlertwongskul, One Take is a documentary revolving around the Thai group BNK48, their journey, and their share of struggles while preparing for the 6th Single Senbatsu General Election. The Senbatsu Election (also known as Senbatsu Sousenkyo) is an annual event where fans can vote for their favorite members of different groups.

The Feel-Good Part

The documentary puts forward the truth about what happens behind the camera. The heart-wrenching experiences the perfect idols have to face every day. And how they are as humans just like any other of us.

The show behind the curtain will help young people understand the unrealistic body standards and that it is just the media who has brainwashed all of us and put in our heads the ideal beauty standards.

The Disappointing Factor

The plot resembles any other documentary of this genre, and nothing new has come to the table. The series lacks any strong reason to be chosen over the other such movies unless you are a fan of BNK48.

Also, the number of songs for a girl group documentary seems to be less.

In-Depth Analysis

The documentary slaps the ugly truth about the entertainment industry right in the face. One of the dialogues in the documentary says, “The elections will determine each girl’s value.”  It sets right and showcases the reality about the over-glorified celebrity and their life.

It shows how the companies are ready to put everything on skate if it helps them earn a few extra bucks. the documentary is like a roller-coaster ride with some concerning issues covered like body insecurities, self-doubt, and jealousy. The constant pressure on the girls and the idea of not being enough, rippling anxiety explains all the tears.

Star Power

The entire group members of BNK48 have shown their presence alongside equally good co-stars.

Overall Opinion

It is a good watch and might help the viewers with the false idea behind the magnificent show industry.
