Drama Digest

Thitphati Techpipat, a charming businessman who attracts women to him, left, right, and center, never imagined that there would be someone he would fall for so profoundly that he would go to any lengths to win her over. The girl’s rejection of him is the most intriguing truth; after all, who would reject such a perfect guy?

Additionally, Jitsagao, his secretary, would be the one in charge. It is difficult for a proud player like him to accept this reality. He starts painstakingly planning how to win his secretary’s heart as a result.

There is a secret, though. Jitsagao stays away from the businessman because one of her family members hit Khaloonji with their car, leaving her crippled for life.

Due to guilt and dread, one heart cannot accept the other; yet, the other feels competitive and works more challenging to obtain the unattainable heart of a stunning girl named Jitsagao.

Ubaat Rai Ubaat Ruk (2021), is based on romance between a boss and his secretary, they seems to have some promise, but some secrets could end that romance.

Although the plot is somewhat predictable, the overall narrative is nonetheless. A light, non-heavy revenge melodrama with a strong emphasis on the importance of family.

The Feel-Good Part

Although the fact that the entire story was pretty cliché, it had beautiful twists and just the right mix of love and hatred. Despite the revenge component in this one, it wasn’t anything overly significant or additional. The male lead actor wasn’t shown in any episodes loathing the female lead actor even when the truth of his sister’s accident was revealed to him, by the female lead actor. Even though there was no evidence of the main actors “falling in love”, seeing Masu and Mo together was a huge relief, and was enjoyable despite the drama’s lack of romance.

Lastly, my research and personal experience concludes that background music and the theme music had a good influence on the entire drama. The element of melody maintained a solid balance without the drama getting out of hand.

The Disappointing Factor

In all honesty, this Thai television drama had an auspicious beginning and could have been so much better if the main plot was more focused on the aftermath of the tragedy and Mong’s retaliation. Most of the drama is focused on the office romance between Mong and Jit. Although the idea of an office romance was excellent, if a show is going to emphasize it, at least give the audience more ‘Falling In Love’ moments. To tie up the loose ends, the finale was completed in a complete rush. Some viewers may find this upsetting because they anticipate dramas to be satisfying and healthy.

There is no doubt that the entire drama was pretty cliché,but, it had terrific twists. With just the right mix of love and hatred to keep it balanced and give it its uniqueness.

In-Depth Analysis

The drama starts with a backdrop of a cliché romantic / Thai television drama having the mandatory unrequited love and revenge. However, the subsequent changes in every episode bring liveliness to this drama and make it different from the rest of the dramas siring on television.

Star Power

The female lead actor, Jitsagao “Jit,” enacted by Mo Monchanok Saengchaipiangpen, is a good choice since she conveys emotion, body language, and voice tone effectively. Masu Junyangdikul, who enacted “Mong”, Thitphati Techpipat, is a rookie actor. Therefore, there are still things he needs to improve, such as his facial expression and gestures. However, he does an excellent job at delivering it all together. Most importantly, he performed good work for a rookie.

Overall Opinion

The spectators are greatly entertained by this drama. The romance between the protagonists is evident, even though they are connected from earlier only, through a horrible accident. The plot initially develops in the direction of unrequited love, but after some time, it entirely shifts. You must watch if you enjoy story twists with subtle rom-com elements.
