Drama Digest
This is a story of a young girl. Her name is Plew Lom. She’s a very hard-working girl. She makes and sells papaya salad for a living. She dreams of becoming a singer. Plew Lom live streams making Papaya salad. She sings while making the salad. It attracts more customers to her stall. Her mother does not allow her to be a singer. But Plew does not want to give up her dream. Her family is in a heavy debt. Thugs come to get the money. They harass her mother. But the neighbours scare them off. Plew wants to pay off the debt by winning the singing competition. But she does not tell her mother. Otherwise her mother won’t let her sing. Her mother does not want her to suffer as a singer like she did, when she was young. She became pregnant with Plew at a young age and could not continue her career. Plew does not know her father. Plew does not want to give up her dream. Thus, the mother-daughter relationship becomes tense. Archa is a music producer. He is handsome and famous among the ladies. He arranges a singing contest. Plew is very excited to sing at the contest. Archa’s mother wants him to marry Leena, who is an actress. But Archa does not like her. She is a rich, spoiled, snobby, and shallow person. She thinks others are inferior to her. One day, Archa accidently discovers Plew. While she is singing with her friends. They develop a misunderstanding. The Feel Good Part
The female lead is a strong-willed girl. She is talented, hardworking, and dedicated. Plew does not give up on her dream despite how hard it gets. Archa and Plew’s first encounter is hilarious. They don’t get along well. The second male lead is a hilarious guy. He often tries to help Plew. But something goes wrong. He ends up becoming the cause of laughter. They fake date to convince his mother. But soon fake dating changes into real love. The maid at Archa’s house ships Archa and Plew. She is Plew’s secret helper. Plew is very talented at singing. Hence, Archa supports her career as best as he can. He does not want her talent to go to waste. They love their career and family.
The Disappointing Part
The show follows the trope of Mother-in-law hates daughter-in-law. They are always at odds with each other. There is unnecessary drama between Plew and Leena. She is a shallow character. Her character does not undergo any growth. She becomes more annoying to watch as the story progresses. The development of the second couple, Thaengthong and Rung is very slow. They are fighting most of the times.
