Drama digest

This is a Thai horror anthology of eight terrifying ghost stories that were set in schools. The drama is crafted by six Thai directors who are skilled in scaring audiences.

The feel-good part

The drama had a low-key modern dark fairy tale vibe. It also focused on individual characters. It was not a pointless drama between teens. The rivalries also made sense. The best part was the episodes were not linked together. The episodes were like short films. The episodes had a good script and story with amazing characters.

The disappointing factor

Some of the episodes were creepy. Some of the episodes were mind-blowing and some were not. The ghost effect was not impressive in the first episode.

In-depth analysis

This horror drama was amazing. Some of the best episodes were the book of corpses, the headless teacher, and the curse. Bullying was an overarching theme throughout the series but it was presented strongly and in a relevant way. The episode headless teacher was campy and funny. The episode was approached with humour and it made it less creepy. The curse – showed the other side of bullying too. Every episode had its story and introduced a new character. Episode three was engaging, it was interesting, to see how these girls will become more beautiful. The ghost and demons looked great in the fourth episode. There were a lot of shady characters in the series. In the seventh episode, the boy went from scared to pretty insane when he realised that his wish came true. The last episode was touching. The scariest part of the show was not the ghost, blood, death, or suicide, but what people can do when they reach their breaking points.

Star power

The acting was top-notch, delivered by a great cast. The acting in the drama will not at all disappoint you. The cast was a perfect fit for their roles.

Overall opinion

School tales the series is adapted from eight hit comics. People who like to watch horror religiously will either love it or hate it. It is a worth-watching drama.
