Drama Digest

The story revolves around a girl named Ga Doo Shim, who is a shaman having the ability to chase evil spirits. She transfers to a haunted school where the student who comes last in a test commits suicide.

The Feel-Good Part

The chemistry between the leads is mesmerizing to watch. It is a lighthearted drama with thrill but not so deep horror that is difficult to hold grasp. As a teen drama, it is enjoyable. Other elements include romance, family dynamics, friendship, and school life. It does not show the elements in great depth but focuses on the plot. The narrative is well-written and paced.

The show had a few scripts that felt rushed and anticlimactic.

In-Depth Analysis

It was fated that Ga Doo shim became a shaman. Her grandmother told her that once she survived 18 years of her life, she could live a normal life afterward. Na woo is a high school perfectionist from a wealthy family background with top grades and goes to the most prestigious school in Seoul. But in his school, the student with the lowest grades starts committing suicide one after another. Doo Shim’s grandmother realizes the existence of evil spirits in that school and asks her mom to transfer her to the school. Na Woo soo gains the ability to see evil spirits after meeting Ga Doo shim, and they become friends. The evil spirit in their school possesses the students who get lower marks and makes them take their own life by jumping off a building. Together, Ga Doo shim and Na Woo soo try to fight the evil spirits and save their school.

Star Power

Park Ho Jin did an excellent job building the main characters. The leads, Kim Sae Ron and Nam Da Reum did a great job portraying the characters. Yoo Sun Ho’s role as a dead high schooler was excellent.

Overall Opinion

It is an excellent choice to watch for a supernatural high school drama. The short duration of each episode makes it easy to binge-watch and certainly does not need substantial investment.
