Drama Digest

“One the Woman” is a South Korean television series released in 2021. It is directed by Choi Hyeong-hun and stars Lee Han hee in a dual role. It tells the story of a female prosecutor who is harsh and rogue. She suddenly loses all her memories and switches places with a housewife who looks exactly like her.

The Feel-Good Part

The best thing about the drama was the humor element with hilarious responses and expressions. Most of the humor in the show came from the family melodrama. The romance was relevant and well-executed. The mystery was well-written and exciting to watch. The first half of the show delivered all the elements.

The Disappointing Factor

Lee Han Hee’s character was draggy and exaggerated. The story didn’t have much to offer, and it was visible that the writer was a rookie. In the latter half of the show, the plot development is terrible. The director did a poor job for the series and had no consistency in the scenarios.

In-Depth Analysis

The story revolves around Yeon Joo, an elite prosecutor who struggled for it. She is the best corruption investigator for the Supreme Prosecutor’s office. She suddenly suffers a car accident and undergoes amnesia while chasing a suspect. When she wakes up, she finds herself in a strange situation. She is now considered Kang Mi Na, who is the daughter-in-law of the Hanju Group. Mi Na suddenly disappeared and now Yeon Joo has taken her place, as they both look alike. Mi Na was a real troublemaker before her disappearance. But Yeon Joo, in her position now, cannot hide her wild nature. Now another conglomerate, Swung Wook, comes to visit Mi Na, who was his first love to reveal the truth about his first death.

Star Power

Lee Han Hee’s dual roleplay drove the most recognition for the show. Being as charmingly perfect as she is, her excellent performance elevated the show. Apart from her, the rest of the lead and support roles also played their part efficiently.

Overall Opinion

Overall, this drama has mixed reviews because of the transition of the show from the 1st to 2nd half, which eventually degraded. But it is worth a watch as it is entertaining.
