Drama Digest –

Boo Hye Ryung is an outgoing host in his thirties, married to Pan Sa Hyun. This couple falls in love with each other after Boo Hye Ryung sees the cool Pan Sa Hyun laying drums in their college. With two more couples in their forties and fifties respectively, they all live in different frameworks and dimensions of life coming together to discuss marriage and commitments. Joining them are Seo Ban, a single man with a mysterious life, Song Won, a divorced woman and A Mi, a single woman in her twenties is handling a newfound romance.

The Feel-Good Part –

The couples in their fifties and forties have been the most impressive and impactful out of the others. They are mature and understand their words, and it is interesting to hear their life experience and their married life journey. The radio station and the dinner scenes have been the unique ones with witty dialogues and powerful acting. Everyone in the show is on a different path in life, and all of them coming together to narrate their take on life is captivating.

The Disappointing Factor –

The story is very dull and frustrating. The show wastes time talking about dogs, oriental medicine golf and other random things. Saying good dialogues, again and again, has made the remaining good ones turn sour and repetitive to the audience. Talking about cheating is normalized, which can affect the morals of some of the audience, who might disagree with the claims made here. The dreadful manner this show becomes tedious once it hits the threshold is not appreciable.

In-Depth Analysis –

This drama takes a different route of showing a couple’s side, where there is no love and both the parties are cheating on each other. Feelings of lust with no emotional connection between the two are normalized and being talked about in this series. The thought of lazy and silly men cheating on their hardworking and honest wives somehow doesn’t make sense, but the crux of showing the realist side of love is brave and bold for the director.

Star Power –

There are many characters in this series. Boo Hye Ryung is a woman in her thirties married to Pan Sa Huyn for three years. They have decided to remain childless. Sa Pi Young is a woman in her forties and is married to Shin Yoo Shin and has a daughter with him. Lee Si Eun is a woman in her fifties married to Park Hae Ryoon for over thirty years. Seo Ban is a sound technician, living a life on his own. Song Won is divorced and works as a literary translator. A Mi is a single woman in her twenties discovering love with a doctor. All the different characters have their own story to tell.

Overall Opinion –

A storyline with a different story to tell is a recommended watch.
