Drama digest
A high school student is also a lifelong loner. One day, Tae Kyung questions his judgment and says him that now, he doesn’t want to be lonely. The problem here arises that he has no idea how to keep company with and make friends. As per the teacher’s advice, he joins the school student council; But he found that it is tough to make friends. Shin Woo, vice-president of the student council met Tae Kyung, he is a level-headed boy but, is not ready to accept Tae Kyung. The council president, Da On, take an instant sparkle to him. But the problem is Da On’s close friend is envious of the closeness of Da On and Tae Kyung.
The Feel-Good Part
The main lead is obvious and honest with himself. Nam Goong, in the life of the show, is not only a comic character but also profound while facing problems. The love triangle made sense, while it was fast-paced and it was enforced well. Throughout the drama, he expresses his emotions clearly. The cinematography is accomplished well. The plot of this acting is exhilarating.
The Disappointing Factor
The overall execution of the drama could have been better. The second half of the drama felt dragged with some awkward dialogues. The show was lacking consistency and the episodes at some points didn’t feel connected.
In-Depth Analysis
A short story about finding yourself, and taking your stand. It is an amazing drama with a considerable storyline. All the characters had their reasons for the action they portrayed. They equally have their problems. At first: it is confusing who’s first love is Tae Kyung. The story pursues Tae Kyung, a silent boy who never had friends, but now he is generous to go out and make friends. He joins the student council and meets, Da On and Shin Woo. Initially, both Shin Woo and Tae Kyung hated each other, on the other side, Da On and Tae Kyung got close. At first, the characters perceive as stereotypical. The story and characters can get you in rapidly. The story is about first love but stands the friendship between the main cast. The concept of the love triangle was put up reasonably. The show also teaches us life lessons about friendship, love and honesty which was good. This drama made people confronted with its story. The efforts that were out in production are reflected through the drama, it is capable of appreciation. Light on me gave us beautifully acted complex and sympathetic characters who dwelled upon their different motives and roles. It also explored acting on love, and what it says about emotional courage. The drama managed to treat its characters with integrity. This drama has been a master in using BL specific romance to manipulate audience sympathy.
Star Power
All the actors did a brilliant job, they bought the characters to life and all the characters were written multidimensional. The star cast proved that they were a suitable choice for the roles they were assigned.
Overall Opinion
This drama is a pleasure ride, and it attracts a lot of people jointly. This high school Korean drama is a must-watch if you are into school dramas. It is adapted from a game Saebit boys high school council.
