Drama Digest

The third season of MBC’s Café Midnight Curious Stalker is a fantasy drama that alters time and space, telling the story of an 18-year-old high schooler with visions of the future.

The Feel Good Part

Even though the majority of the show was confusing, things get clearer at the finale, and the subtle clues dispersed throughout the drama come together and make sense. Aside from that, the plot is alright, with a seamless dramatic and sad progression. The romance is good, a little predictable, but still enjoyable. The domestic turmoil was interesting, heartwarming mother-son relationship. In addition, the friendship between the two characters was very enjoyable and refreshing.

The Disappointing Factor

The story’s biggest flaw, however, is how it was portrayed. The timeline of the show is confusing. Sometimes some flashbacks appear to be on the main timeline. At other times, scenes are portrayed as mere speculations rather than actual events in the plot.

In-Depth Analysis

The Curious Stalker is a perplexing Korean drama. Sun Min’s bond with Ji Woo is challenged when she is chosen to study dance in Seoul and must relocate from Busan. Due to his mother’s declining health and his expanding duties, Ji Woo realizes he can’t accompany her. However, when he accompanies his mother to another area of town, he discovers a cafe with an eerie atmosphere and even stranger characters. The most important clue to understanding what is going on is that this is a series set at a Cafe Midnight that assists people by modifying time and space.

Star Power

Sun-Min has an optimistic personality and wins scholarships through a dance competition. Kim In Yi was fantastic in her character and was especially impressive when she danced.

Overall Opinion

The story’s plot is wholesome and heartwarming, but it is quite rushed.
