Drama Digest

The drama Wadake No Otokotachi Another Story is the spin-off of Wadake No Otokotachi. Wadake No Otokotachi Another Story focuses on how three different people can be connected to each other through they have different kinds of relationships with each other. It plays out between Mitsumura Shosei who develops a crush on his senior at the company he is newly appointed, and his ex-classmate who also happens to be the ex-boyfriend of his crush.

The Feel-Good Part

The charm of Japanese drama lies in the fact that how wonderfully they bring out most of the aspects of the characters in such a short time. Everything from the story to the characters and the essence of their characters everything is well tied and beautifully portrayed.

The Disappointing Factor

The disappointing part of all this is that all good things are short and come to an end really soon. Other than that, there appear to be no flaws with this drama.

In-Depth Analysis

The drama follows Mitsumura Shosei as he navigates around the company Buzz Topi as an employee who’s new to their editorial department. A chance encounter of him with his senior, Shima Satomi, has him head over heels for her. As a senior, Satomi does an excellent job of mentoring new employees. Satomi was given a case to handle. It was one fine day when the case she was put in charge of encountered a problem. The advertising company sent in a staff in order to solve this problem and proceed forward. The staff member that is sent is Osaka Izumi, who is an old classmate of Shosei, who also happens to be the old boyfriend of Satomi. As a result, these three people, whose pasts and present are connected to each other, somehow have to work together. When they start working together, an incident experienced by Shosei leaves him flabbergasted.

Star Power

Masakado Yoshinori, portraying Mitsumura Shosei, does the main role; he receives justice. Ishikawa Ren as Satomi Shima does a wonderful job, along with Nakamura Reiaas, Osaka Izumi, Komakine Ryusuke as Inda Goro, and Yamamoto Keisuke as Kamada Yasuo. They all perform wonderfully.

Overall Opinion

Viewers should definitely give this Japanese drama a try only after watching Wadake No Otokotachi since this is a spin off of it.
