Drama Digest

This series is a spinoff of the original series, Unsung Cinderella, wherein the hospital witnesses a few strange occurrences. Mikito and Airi, two high school students who are both hospitalised with serious diseases, have been identified as the culprits. Before Airi passed away, the two had been attempting to fulfil her requests. Kurumi, who had considered leaving her career as a pharmacist, decides to help the two teens understand what it means to “live for someone.”

The Feel-Good Part

The spinoff is quite freshening, and we get to know more about Kurumi, who was Aoi’s assistant in the original series.

The Disappointing Factor

The spinoff has five episodes and is pretty short. It does not follow a significant theme and is an episodic show, just like the original series. It might not be easy to watch for some due to the blood.

In-Depth Analysis

Midori Aoi is a pharmacist who has dedicated her career to the concept that one must know the patient well to give the correct prescription. Medicine is the bond that ties the patient’s today to their everyday existence in the future. Midori works at Yorozuya General Hospital, and the drama depicts her work ethic and interactions with her coworkers. Midori takes a long time in her consultations with patients because of this, and her coworkers remark that she is too inefficient in her work. Midori dismisses the complaints, stating that her purpose is to assist the patients in resuming their everyday lives.

As the spinoff continued, Kurumi, another pharmacist, who was about to quit, decided to stay to help and guide two teens and eventually help herself find out what it means to live for someone.

Star Power

The cast played their role effortlessly. Kurumi plays her role sincerely, but there is not much to her role like in the original series. The two teens, Mikito and Airi, perform so well, but there is no hooking factor to the spinoff.

Overall Opinion

The spinoff does not have much to it. The characters are decent, and there is no villainy theme.
