Drama Digest

Suits 2 is a drama in which the main character, Kai Shogo, is a highly competent lawyer who works for one of Japan’s top law companies. He is a clever and intelligent individual with a competitive mindset. Kai calls up his associate Suzuki Daiki, who has been in Boston for two years, to continue the plot from the prequel. ‘Yukimura Uesugi legal firm’ has Uesugi Hitoshi as a co-deputy and Chika Yukimura as deputy. Meanwhile, Hitoshi’s wife tragically died while Kai was with a case. The legal firm’s executives, Kai and Chika, take advantage of the situation and fire Uesugi. However, Uesugi persuades others to accompany him back to the legal office, igniting a business struggle. How will Kai and Chika’s feud play out? What will the Uesugi and other arc-rivals of Kai’s covetous intentions be? To continue the plot, watch Suits 2.

The Feel-Good Part

The primary characters’ approach to providing intelligent solutions to the cases in the drama sequence is superb. Along with the workplace and business rivalry, the intellectual jokes are particularly vicious and entertaining. There’s also a lovely romance in the drama. The strong personalities of both leads are strong, and they suit each other very well.

The Disappointing Factor

Because the drama is from an American series for Japanese audiences, it lacks context about Japanese values. Suits 2 is more severe than Suits 1. Some viewers are maybe unable to follow characters and backstory at the start of the drama if the viewers didn’t watch season 1 first. The drama plot of ‘Suits 2’ has picked up the story from where it left off in season 1.

 In-Depth Analysis

Suits is a Japanese adaptation of the American drama series of the same name. However, the American series concept has to meet Japanese culture and custom. While it is on an American show, it is distinctive and superior to the original. The plot and cases are not the same as the originals. The episode moves at just the right tempo to provide a great storyline. The costumes and sets were flawless to create a professional atmosphere. The sound and production effects were constantly in sync with the scenarios’ emotions. The characters’ personalities always entice the audience to give it their all at work. To manage the cases, they define unity in the workplace. The Suits 2 featured a more episode count and runtime than typical Japanese dramas, which was sufficient to elicit viewer support and provide a compelling tale.

Star Power

Yuji Oda (Kai Shogo), Yuto Nakajima (Suzuki Daiki), and Suzuki Hanomi (Yukimura Chika) all did an excellent job and absorbed into the characters’ personalities to deliver perfection. They were able to blend in with the other cast members’ characteristics and demonstrate the originality of each role to achieve the best results. They were able to distinguish between the personal and professional lives of the same persons.

Overall Opinion

The drama is a fantastic adaptation with the right combination of humor, intellect, twists, and intriguing cases. The heartfelt romance is the icing on the cake. The technique with which leaders solve the problem is mind-blowing. It is a superb work of legal drama, and it is well worth your time to see the remaining episodes.
