The feel-good part

The story was great. The production team did well, and the cinematography was excellent. The dialogue  delivery was perfect. The drama explored the mental state of what actors do.

The disappointing factor

The length of the drama could have been a bit long. At some points, editing was annoying.

In-depth analysis

This drama is a tour-de-force of acting. The script by Yoshida Eruka focused on a period in the two characters wierdly co-dependant relationship. Chiba plays Takarada Takara joined a theatre company. The bond between Yujin and Takara fused the professional and the personal. Their comfortable routine was disrupted when Takara’s career began to flourish. He secured flashy acting gigs in TV dramas and commercials. But success separated the duo. A professional management agency takes Takara away to a new living arrangement. On the strength of novel influences, Takara began to blossom into a functioning and independent adult. There was a subtle sexual tension between Takara and Yujin. That created a temptation for the audience to classify the series as a BL. Yoshida’s strong character made the drama a compelling television.

Star power

Takara and Yujin were both complex characters. The acting by the leads was impressive. The supporting cast was also good at their work. The acting was a plus point of the drama.

Overall opinion

The drama was adapted from the manga of the same by Noda Ayako. It was an incredible drama. It was a fabulous uncanny. Each episode left with so many thoughts and moments.
