Drama Digest

Shinji has. a fear of romance and just cannot woo any girl to have a relationship with. He takes help from his childhood friends and then joins, and uses an AI matchmaking application to help him find a pair. The name of the application is ConnXion and it allows men and women to find their best fitting life partner. The background of the story is set in the year 2026, when Japan is facing a decline in the birth rate.

The Feel-Good Part

There are many star moments and factors of the story. The rapport between the main leads is impressive and it holds the story until the very end. The story gets messy, but the chemistry keeps it watchable. The character selection for this series is also appropriate for the actors playing. The difference in ages and the timeline of where the story is set up does not come in between their friendship and their mission, which is beautiful. Other characters are too impressive and the scenes with the main leads are interesting. The female lead is also applaudable with superior acting skills and excellent expressions.

The Disappointing Factor

The drama feels excessively dragging and unnecessary after the initial few episodes. The cringe moments hit in the later episodes, and it becomes difficult to keep up with it. The closure provided to the story is not satisfactory enough to satisfy the enormous time given to the series. The story is also not well-executed because the plot and scenes seemed overly dramatic and unsatisfactory. The drama is only worth the chemistry between them.

In-Depth Analysis

There are not many surprises and weird plot twists in the series. The trio has good chemistry and makes up the focused romantic angle the viewers want. It has a decent plot with not much excitement. Each episode is well written. There are no such confusing scenes and each scene is captivating to the story. The series is straightforward. It is already established that the love would blossom between the chosen main characters, but the climax spoke for itself. It was self-explanatory and rewarding to watch until the very end. The connection between three main characters is the star of the show.

Star Power

All the main leads complement each other. They have good understanding and trust for each other and are nice overall as humans, keeping their relationship aside. It pushes the viewers to believe and handle their relationships and friendships nicely. The generation and mentality differences are shown in a nice way, where all of them struggle initially to understand each other. The female lead is also getting better with the progression of the series, both in terms of acting and character development. It is rare for such a lovely portrayal of acting in the Japanese drama industry.

Overall Opinion

A variety series with a variety of impressive scenes. It is a recommended watch.
