Drama Digest

A fetish reproduced from a stone falls in love with a fictitious woman. Their fantasy spans for over two thousand years. A stone has turned into an extraordinary existence and due to that he is similar to both a deity and a demon. Jin Xing Jian is that kind of man. He attracts demons from all walks of life through the gallery that he runs. He witnesses things that the demons do for love. Ye Ming is a woman cloak in contradiction and created from the night pearl. Jin Xing Jian and Ye Ming both had a complicated relationship when it comes to love life. The story is about humans and demons.

The Feel-Good Part

It was pleasing to see the pretty costumes. The costumes of the republican era are made well and detailed. The oat fitted the overall ambience of the show. The side stories were also made entertaining and engaging. The comic relief in the show were the second leads.

The Disappointing Factor

The storyline was draggy. The actions scenes could have been better done. The CGI was fitted perfectly to the drama. Ye Ming’s character was not developed.

In-Depth Analysis

The drama revolves around the world of humans and demons. In the beginning, Jin Xing Jian sealed Ye Ming’s memory and she has fallen to sleep. Being a stone deity, he has stone stamps and that is his original form. Everything started as Ye Ming defied heaven’s will against Yu Shao Bai’s death and that caused a Dominic effect to Jin Xing Jian, Ye Ming and others. Later, the story focuses on Jin Xing Jian finding his lost eight scattered seals and Ye Ming figuring out her past. The back stories had suspense, action, and comedy. Both protagonist and antagonist were killed easily. The protagonist was an unparalleled deity with superpowers.

Star Power

The female lead, Jasper Liu fantastically portrayed her role. Guli Nazha was okay but looked charming. As a second couple Jia Cheng and Zhi Ying were promising with their roles. It was good to see them growing as demon and demon fighters to lovers. The rest of the supporting cast was also awesome.

Overall Opinion

This drama is adapted from the novel “Shi Er Tan” by Ni Luo. The drama is funny, sweet, and passionate at times. This is a must watch drama for fun and entertainment.
