Drama Digest

Gong Jun’s character, Huo Yan, is a severe and introverted fireman; Zhang Huiwen’s character, Yan Lan, is a kind and gentle emergency physician with exceptional professional skills. The two’s love is given varied hues by two unique professional traits. Together, they worked to rescue and coax the injured. Huo Yan and Yan Lan’s relationship is an example of mutual respect, trust, and progress in the context of specific jobs.

The Feel-Good Part

Even though the narrative wasn’t all that compelling but you can get attached to the characters. It is adorable how close they are to one another and how they trust one another.

The Disappointing Factor

The rhythm from scene to scene did not flow effectively since the director and authors tried to cram every notion of a scene into one episode. Some sequences had awful editing. There were occasional audio problems. There were instances where a character was speaking but the camera wasn’t focused on them, making it difficult to tell who was speaking.

In-Depth Analysis

Huo Yan becomes the vice-captain of the Fire Rescue Team after completing the Civil Defense Academy. He encountered Yan Lan, a physician working in the emergency room, when he had to rescue a pregnant woman from a delivery car. Due to misconceptions, their encounter got off to a bad start. Huo Yan has always had a calm demeanour and a firm grasp on every circumstance. Yan Lan and Huo Yan cross paths once more during an earthquake relief effort. They are continually exposed to harsh situations while on their journey, seeing innumerable deaths and partings caused by life, strengthening their bond.

News of a highly contagious illness emerged once they were back in the city. Yan Lan and her co-workers start working hard immediately, joining the fight against the disease. Huo Yan and the individuals who benefited from their assistance are always concerned for Yan Lan’s safety. They use every available tactic to help her in silence and behind her back.

Star Performances

This film’s central star, Gong Jun, was as attractive as one could anticipate. He performed an excellent job, but was limited by the script’s flaws. All of the other actors were either okay or alright.

Overall Opinion

Therefore, despite a few minor flaws, this series is adequate if all you want to watch is something enjoyable. But if you’re a meticulous person who gets upset by little mistakes here and there, you could find it annoying.
