Drama Digest:

Nan Bo Wan rents his apartment to earn extra money and his life is not considered luxurious in Beijing. He is a high-rank executive. Bai Li Qian Chuan becomes Nan Bo Wan’s rentee. Qian Chuan is an idol with little fame and will do anything to become more famous. The plot follows the lives of these two people as they start living together and shows how their relationship evolves.

The Feel-Good Part:

The drama has only 12 episodes and is only 12 mins each. The show is upbeat and laid-back. The music is upbeat and suites the vibes. It’s packed with comedy and second-hand embarrassment. The chemistry between the main characters is lit and worth watching. The show can lighten the mood and reduce blood pressure. The drama might break your regular drama-watching routine when you get tired of watching unnecessary love triangles. It might justify the drama name – One in a hundred.

The Disappointing Factor:

The storyline is somewhat spineless, and the writing is poor. The story could have been more refreshing and attractive if the scenes connected better. The whole drama seems like random parts of the lives of Bo Wan and Qian Chuan. There are times when the story doesn’t connect with the previous scene. And this gets irritating. The show could have followed the side characters more. The storyline still follows a few cliche ideas which were not necessary.

In-Depth Analysis:

Qian Chuan has a sudden surge in his popularity when Nan Bo Wan walks half-naked to one of his live streams. He decides not to let go of the opportunity and acts close to Bo Wan during his live streams. It leads to funny encounters between both of them. They start pretending to be couples’ for the sake of his popularity. The people around them begin to get confused about their relationship and weird antics. The fans, however, believe their show and are also supportive. Qian Chuan gains tons of fans in the process. Qian Chuan is all attention-seeking and extra, while Bo Wan is more grounded and normal. Their friendship takes various turns. It is up to the viewer’s disposition, whether they consider their relationship a bromance or romantic. The drama also gives cute moments once in a while. The plot doesn’t entertain a female lead, unlike the trend. It is rare and fun to watch such stories.

Star Power:

The actors do justice for their characters despite the poor writing. They make us laugh until our stomach aches and also cringe at the same time.

Overall Opinion:

Viewers who like the genre of the drama can surely enjoy the show. It may not be one of the many good dramas, but it certainly is not one of the bad dramas out there.
