Drama Digest:
More than Blue: The Series follows music producer Wang Po Han and his assistant An Yi Qi as they search for the song’s mystery copyright owner on behalf of their musician A-Lin. Additionally, they discovered K’s diary, who is the creator of the enigmatic tune, and used the diary to delve into K’s entire history. Two orphans named K and Cream, who travel through life and experience both happiness and grief together, are the subjects of the diary. However, K is given the terminal leukemia cancer diagnosis. K keeps his terminal cancer a secret since he is aware that Cream’s greatest fear is being abandoned.
The Feel-Good Part:
You learn a lot about human nature and love from it. makes you question all of your personal relationships. It actually demonstrates the power of unadulterated love and how it can outlive even death. How love transcends time and lives on in other people’s hearts, brains, and tales. How love is more blue than blue itself.
The Disappointing Factor:
Additionally, the plot is hackneyed and out-of-date, which rendered it forgettable. The majority of it is artistic, but the way they revealed the prior story—by simulating a group of college students sitting around a bonfire sharing a ghost story—is too formulaic and lazy.
In-Depth Analysis:
Everyone did a fantastic job, but the lead actor particularly stood out (Fandy). Everything about it—the direction, the lines, the ost—was perfect. Even though you know how the show is going to end from the very beginning, you nevertheless feel drawn to keep watching. It just comes at you like a train; it’s both excruciatingly painful and incredibly beautiful. The ML is wonderful and adorable. He plays the part flawlessly, from being healthy to passing away. FL is endearing and excels at her part. They get along well together. They are followed through high school and 11 years later in the novel. Despite having very difficult lives, both managed to find joy in music. It is difficult to picture somebody being so devoted to their partner that they would sacrifice everything to ensure their happiness and well-being.
Star Power:
The younger actors who played the key roles of ML and FL performed an excellent job acting, particularly ML. Because of their acting, you may still cry even though you can guess the ending of the narrative without too much difficulty (that’s how cliché the plot was). However, the older actors’ performances fall short of those of the younger ones. This is depressing. It absolutely didn’t feel adult-like. Additionally, the adults’ role in this scene lowers the acting/cast score.
Overall Opinion:
They are very talented directors, cinematographers, and editors. The ML’s acting and the fact that I only watched half of the entire thing with my finger on the forward button at all times are other factors that helped to keep the watching experience great. It simply hits you where you are, ensures that your intestines are completely destroyed, and still manages to make you crave more of it.
