Drama Digest
Shao Xue, Zheng Su Nian, Zhang Qi, Lin Shi Yin, and Wu Huan are childhood friends. They all have grown up together. Their parents used to work for the antiques and museum trade and have taught their children to always value the artifacts. But as they grow up, their lives take new turns, and their feelings for each other also start changing.
Zheng Su Nian’s mother gets seriously ill, which means he has to take hold of the legacy. This somewhere inspires Shao Xue, who is now determined to follow her dreams, even if it means going away from her friends, family, and neighborhood. Shao Xue and Zheng Su Nian, secretly have feelings for each other. Zhang Qi, whose natural talent lies in mathematics, gets a chance to study abroad, but he also has feelings for Shao Xue. Now between love and dreams, they choose their goals, but fate has something special for them.
The Feel-Good Part
The way this drama portrays youth, and the life-changing decisions children have to make is exceptional. The friendship between them is beautiful. Growing up with each other, they share everything. The parents in this drama are all very supportive and even the neighbors are lovely.
The Disappointing Factor
The romance between the main characters is not delivered perfectly. There are cracks visible in their relationship. The plot is predictable, and the execution is bad. The character development of some side characters is better than the main leads.
In-Depth Analysis
The show mainly revolves around youth and all the crucial turns life takes in those years. This drama shows how essential and full of life those few years are. Falling in and out of love, making difficult decisions, and pursuing your dreams. It also shows the emotional aspect of life when Zheng Su Nian’s mother dies and how life changes so suddenly without warning. It is exhilarating to see the love and support between the parents and children. But the romance part is not satisfactory. It feels like there is almost no effort in the relationship from Zheng Su Nian’s side. Also, the plot is foreseeable. At some points, you already know what will happen next. Some scenes didn’t even make sense.
Star Power
The star cast is perfect. Their acting was competent enough, just what the drama needed with this plot. Supporting roles were acceptable. The parents and neighbors made the show unique and fun.
Overall Opnion
The show is decent enough. Gives a dive into the critical aspects of life. It focuses not only on love but on all the significant things of youth and provides a crux of existence. If you want to watch something heartwarming and light with good family relations and beautiful friendships, try it.
