Ning Meng is a hard-working woman but working as a secretary of a total jerk, Lu Ji Ming isn’t helping. She had a dream of working as an investment director, but Lu Ji Ming thinks that she doesn’t have the qualifications for being an investment director, and he keeps her busy with a job without any career development.
She quits her job as a secretary and finds a job that suits her preference, in a new investment firm. She uses the things she learned at her old workplace and applies them in her new job and tells everyone what she is capable of.
The Feel-Good Part
The whole show is good. It mainly focuses on the female lead; she is a very strong-headed and smart character. And she saves the male lead at the end. This is not your regular drama where the female lead is a damsel in distress, and she needs saving, no, this woman has potential, and proves that to everyone.
The storyline is pretty good in this drama and the plot flows smoothly. The story is collected and focuses on the main concept rather than being all over the place.
The Disappointing Factor
The female lead deserves better. Both the main lead as well as the second male lead are not worthy of her. They both are not good enough for her. Even though the male lead gets better towards the end but you still can’t forget his behavior and thought process at the beginning of the show.

Master of My Own is a business world drama following the lives of Ning Meng and Lu Ji Ming. Ning Meng is a diligent person and is working toward her dream. The drama gradually and realistically portrays her journey from a personal secretary to an investment director.
It is a great show which has a professional aspect to itself. Everything makes sense in this show and nothing is just absurd. The drama depicts the practicalities of real life and how some people don’t want you to succeed for their benefit and how some people will always have your back.

The star cast is impressive. All the roles have been played brilliantly, and the male lead was so convincing that you’d want to punch him in the face through the screen.
