Drama Digest:

The story starts with Gao Bing Zhu, a deputy marshal at the bottom rung of the society.  He became the prime suspect after getting caught in a case. When he tries to prove his innocence, at this time, he meets Balili Hong Yi. He is a young man who tries to find out the truth about his father’s death. They started to investigate together. While investigating the case,  Gao Bing hu meets with a woman named Si Yue, a pro in martial arts. They have different personalities. Can they fall in love with each other? Can they find out the truth? Watch the drama to know how the story unravels.

The Feel-Good Part:

The story has a beautiful plot. There is a fine blend of romance, mystery, and investigation in the show. The three main characters have their perfect exposure in unfolding their own stories. The moment their roads crossed with each other, their stories tied together. There is a great development of the character throughout the entire drama. A unique feature of this show is giving a space to the female characters to be a ruler like the Empress. The romance between the lead characters is lighthearted. The comic scenes are awe-inspiring.

The theme of the drama is pretty good. The opening music has a calming effect. The ending song is top-notch. The viewers can listen to the song again and again. The songs are soothing and ear-catching.

The cinematography is excellent in the show.

The Disappointing Factor:

The drama has thirty-nine episodes which is pretty much for some audiences who are not accustomed to watching long Chinese dramas. The audience can get distracted while watching it.

The drama is pretty long that make people lose interest after some episodes. Multiple subplots are portrayed in the show which sometimes pretty confusing.

Star Power:

The acting is pretty good. Huan Xuan did a  good job. He is able to show that how powerful his acting is. His crying scenes are heartbreaking.

Wang Yi Bo did a perfect job. He was perfect for his role. Victoria Song’s character is strong and smart and she portrayed the role perfectly. Song Yi is adorable throughout the show. The other actors also did a perfect job. They enhanced the dimensions of the show.

Overall Opinion:

It is a historical Chinese drama with some good stories. The plot is intriguing, captivating, and clever. It is fast-paced, but it won’t affect the story. It makes the plot even more appealing. The viewers can eagerly wait to watch the next episode. Those who want to try a historical period drama can give it a try. It won’t disappoint you.
