Drama Digest
Adapted from a novel of the same name, the drama centers around the story of the daughter of the Cheng family, Cheng Shao Shang. Her parents abandoned her when she was a child and left for war. Raised by her aunt and grandmother, Shao Shang was a careful and attentive woman, always trying to protect herself. Yet the void of love made her think that everyone detested her, and this feeling often made her uncomfortable. However, on her family’s return, she hoped to get close to them and start anew. Her father and brothers adored her dearly, but she couldn’t escape the keen eyes of her mother, who took to disciplining her. It was one of the things Shao Shang hated other than seeing people bullied. Her personality stands for being honest, rebellious when the situation arises, and protective.
Meanwhile, Ling Bu Yi is an adopted son of the emperor and a general. He is trying to unveil the conspiracy hiding in the past. His sharp-witted, stubborn and passionate nature strikes with that of Shao Shang. The drama unfolds the many interpretations of family and love with the spotlight on the protagonists.
