Drama Digest

At 25 years old we have our main lead fang Si Jin, who is a district manager in the real estate business. Her work ethic is built on domineering principles and is extremely strict for the deliverance of results and improvement of the business. Upon evaluation of their businesses, Fang’s boss transfers her to another branch that he feels is lacking and failing miserably. Fang upon arrival at her new workplace quickly realizes the issue behind the failure of this branch. Rolling her sleeves up to make the best out of the mess, Fang is set to make sure this branch keeps par with others in the business. The manager at the place she transferred to is easygoing and has a hard time keeping workplace boundaries for his colleagues, employees, and peers. As soon As Jin stepped into the scene the environment changed as she demanded results. Although the pace at the branch picked up due to her managing skill, she realizes that the close, family-like aura that was present before has vanished from the branch. This drama is about how Fang revaluates her method of achieving results and being a good person at the same time. She falls in love with the place and the previously mentioned manager of the branch.

The Feel-Good Part

Buying a home for many people is a big-time decision that they may need to save up for, and apply for loans among other things to take care of. The modern-day series is based in Shanghai, where Fang is sent to remedy the working of their company’s branch and low performance. The drama carefully wraps the sentiments and technicalities involved in the buying of a home in a very wholesome manner. Easily moving the plot from case to case of home buyers. Along with this we also see plenty of characters aside from the main get a chance to shine and develop. This is not just real estate drama; it also shapes a lot of background for our Si Jin about her family troubles with her mom. We get to see why she is the way she acts in her professional line. There are interesting cases too for example a house for sale with murder in its history, an old couple wanting to buy a house after decades of selling buns. Emphasis on the livelihood of residents of Shanghai. A lovely drama that is a gem amongst Chinese dramas I have seen as a viewer. The side characters don’t feel like props to the story but rather are an active part of it symbolizing the warmth and affection that Fang Si Jin was missing from her previous workplace.

The Disappointing Factor

There is the main villain in this series, but upon watching it you will soon realize that this villain has no development and is extremely unnecessary to the story. Rarely adds anything of value to it. Apart from this, there are a lot of episodes for this drama. Some people might find investing so much time in a single drama too energy-consuming. But if you are willing to push that aside and give it a watch it would be amazing.

In-Depth Analysis

The main villain in this series is the arch-nemesis of Wen Chang the branch Manager Si Jin falls in love with. There are beautiful shots of Shanghai and the architecture outshines everything else in this show. Very realistic in the portrayal of family issues, sale of houses, or what happens after. The characters are also really fleshed out. The endearing parts of this series are how it treats the side characters so equitably. The branch employees have their personalities and stories.

Star Power

Luo Jin and Sun Li are the two main leads of our drama. Both actors are well established in the industry with many works under their credits.

Overall Opinion

This drama was well received by the experts in the industry as in the real-life realtors. The concepts of betrayal, family troubles, and agents being skipped by clients, amongst other things were so skilfully explored and presented. This drama certainly is an immersive experience in the locale of Shanghai and its residences. As well as a peek into the lifestyle of what it is to become a realtor in contemporary times. Fang Si jin and Wenchang have excellent onscreen chemistry. They are also shown as each other’s equals. A down to earth drama that I would recommend watching. It would be a loss to skip this as this drama also has amazing Ost.
