Drama Digest
It tells the tale of two childhood friends who were born on the same day in the same town: Li Yi Mu and Xiong Qi Qi. Li Yi Mu is a diligent perfectionist whereas Xiong Qi Qi is indolent and prefers to stay at home. Although having very different personalities, Li Yi Mu sticks by Xiong Qi Qi’s side her entire life, guarding her and helping her achieve her goals. Li Yi Mu’s actions are also appreciated by Xiong Qi Qi, who decides to repay him by modest displays of bravery and kindness.
The Feel-Good Part
The drama had a successful resolution. In the most recent episode, when ML was finally able to recognize his feelings for FL, ML and FL reunited. Even if it wasn’t entirely fulfilling, it was still okay because they were now finally together. I adored this drama because it taught me so many moral lessons. I can appreciate that sometimes you won’t get your way. Although ML wants to communicate his feelings and have FL embrace him, things haven’t turned out the way he’d hoped.
The Disappointing Factor
The disappointing things about this drama include the poor character build-up; the FL was thrown several tragedies and dramatic twists, which made her a very pitiful character as it appeared everyone stepped over her. The ML and FL are complete opposites of each other but ended up being drawn to each other, and that whole process was skipped over and not described well.
In-Depth Analysis
The Li family and the Xiong family, who are very close neighbors, gave birth on the same day in a gorgeous village. Instead of “mom” or “dad,” Xiong Qi Wi’s first words were his catchphrase, “Something awful has happened.” The two children’s personalities change as they get older. Whereas Li Yi He is a rigid and obedient perfectionist, Xiong Qi Qi is a massive slacker who is content to achieve nothing in life. Li Yi He has always looked out for and guarded Xiong Qi Qi, whether she was in elementary school, middle school, high school, or university. They unavoidably encounter obstacles as the two of them travel into the huge city. Xiong Qi Qi is pounded and pummeled by reality. Li Yi He turns to novel strategies to bolster her spirit of resistance. Li Yi He’s unwavering company and the family of Xiong Qi Qi help Qi Qi have the courage to face the unknowable and the appreciation for tiny blessings.
Star Power
Wu Yu Heng performed as Li Yi. He was a talented young actor. I adored him because he was so attractive. He presents himself as Li Yi Mu, a straight man who just knew how to study. His priorities are his academics and landing a nice career. Also, he had a strong interest in investments and knew how to research them. He only has one friend because he is young and she is from Florida. When she is in difficulty, he always steps in to help. Even though he didn’t acknowledge his feelings for FL, he was forced to admit them eventually. He can’t help but fall in love with her. He had a successful life and obtained a respectable position. Tu Zhi Ying’s character, Xiong Qiqi, was a mischievous young lady. She enjoys playing and is not really serious about her life. She was just familiar with sleeping and eating. Eventually, she had a change of heart and resolved to study diligently. She was accepted to the same university as ML and afterwards acquired a boyfriend she had been liking. She also had many life and love experiences. She makes the decision to start over after experiencing ups and downs in her life.
Overall Opinion
If you enjoy the typical Chinese dramas with the female and male tropes, then this is the perfect drama for you to enjoy.
