Drama Digest
It is contemporary drama which follows the story of the headstrong Xiao Yu and the aimless Nan Bei. A group of immoral teachers of their school wish to manipulate the results of an upcoming inter-school debate competition. To achieve this, those teachers form a motley crew which also included Xiao Yu, Nan Bei, and a few other students whom the teachers considered to be a complete misfit for the competition. Everyone expected them to fail. However, everything takes a turn when all the members of the team discover and rightfully use their respective skills, and suddenly becomes a proficient team. They are now set on excelling in every corner of the inter-school level competitions. The scheming principal of the school notices that all the planning might probably backfire and thus, wishes to sabotage the team. But is the situation already out of the teacher’s hands? Can the rookie team prove everyone wrong and show their mettle.
The Feel-Good Part
The most fun part of the show would be how it didn’t just had one main couple, but rather we get to witness three distinct couples who all are equally entertaining and mirthful. The friendship between the characters is remarkable and is guaranteed to warm your hearts. The teamwork showcased in the drama is also superb and might serve as a positive moral to many. Furthermore, how even though the drama is a sequel yet the story isn’t a continuation of the previous plot is definitely a plus point. The drama offers you a whole new story with new characters and their own unique background stories. However, it is still somewhat has the same backdrop which evokes a sense of nostalgia within the viewers who saw the first season too.
The Disappointing Factor
The main aspect of the drama is the debates; as a result you often get to witness them. Therefore, although the plot is fun and has its own entertaining angle yet if you are someone who doesn’t enjoys debates and exchange of variety of viewpoints on different topics, then this campus drama might feel like a waste of time. Reason being that the characters will be seen having debate like discussions even in their daily day-to-day life. Furthermore, although the story is different, but the show is still a sequel and it will naturally be compared with the first one. On doing so, you will probably end up with the conclusion that the debated in the first season were far much better than this season. Here you might frequently be unable to connect or even comprehensively understand the viewpoints of the characters many times.

As mentioned above the show is a campus drama and follows the stories of students. Thus, everyone might feel jubilant on seeing the characters experience a lifestyle that they all have undergone too, at some point, or are still witnessing. Every character has a well elaborated story of their own, and it is quite pleasurable to see the underdogs work hard and break free from the set mentality that people had regarding them. That side of the plot certainly teaches us that despite what everyone thinks about you or expects you to be, as long as you are determined to work hard and have your mind set on it, you can achieve it all.
Star Power
‘Wu Jia Yi,’ ‘Zhai Zi Lu,’ ‘Wang Ze Xuan,’ ‘Lu Zhao Hua,’ ‘Mi Mi,’ ‘Chen Ze,’ and ‘Ke Ying’ does a great job and playing the main role in the drama. whereas the supporting cast includes ‘LQ Wang,’ ‘Lan Man Yu,’ ‘Zhang Lei,’ ‘Ren Luo Min,’ ‘Wang Gang,’ Xu Wan Ting,’ ‘Zhang Yan,’ ‘Yan Jing Yao,’ etc.
Overall Opinion
It is a fun school drama that is contemporary yet offers you something new as well. The different opinions and wonderful discussions are surely enriching.
