Drama Digest –

Su Wan Yan is furious to acknowledge that her future husband is having a secret affair with her stepsister. She calls off her wedding with him and chooses Qin Tian Ling randomly to be her husband and marry her. Qin Tian Ling is the president of the Qin dynasty. Due to many of the following occurrences between the two where Qin Tian Ling supports and cares for Su Wan Yan always, she unknowingly falls in love with him. Later, she comes to know that her ex-boyfriend, Mo Qin, whom she is still in love with, is not only but also Qin Tian Ling, and this was his love trap to regain her love back. She fell in love with him before knowing his true identity and even “meeting” him.

The Feel-Good Part –

The story and script of the series are well-written with interesting and exciting twists. Both the main characters have done a great job in showcasing the emotions based on the scene, and it appears relatable to the audience. The way Qin Tian Ling supports and stays for Su Wan Yan in uncomfortable situations when she pleads with him to become a “revenge tool” for her mother’s death, he approves and even goes against her father, who is her mother’s killer. All the matters being built by the screenwriter to grow and nourish the love between the two is appreciated and can be the “star” of the series.

The Disappointing Factor –

The character of Su Wan Yan sometimes becomes extremely loud and pompous to fit the storyline. She seldom does erratic things to gain the attention of  Qin Tian Ling, which is distracting and disappointing. The background music tracks in certain scenes to increase the depth and dimension can get inappropriate and unfitting for some viewers. The climax is overhyped as it could be easily predicted by the scenes being shown earlier in the series.

In-Depth Analysis –

This miniseries broadcasted on Youku TV has shown some good character development among the Chinese dramas. The female lead especially is very bold, strong, which brings a newmade charm to the series. The way Su Wan Yan handled the situation she faced on her wedding day is applaudable. This series adds another star to its makers by being a miniseries, which is not only time-saving for the viewers, but also holds the attention of the audience and it keeps them excited and eager for the story.

Star Power –

Su Wan Yan is one of the great female leads. It is right to show the audience when women of a hierarchy are managing the company, which is being run through generations in the family. Her love for her mother is shown when she asks for revenge for her murder, which also indicates how deep-rooted and lovable her personality is. She is given great company by her husband and her better half, Qin Tian Ling, who never questions her decisions and is overall a good person. He always wants the best for her, regardless of her spontaneous decision of marrying him. He truly loves her and is the best match for her.

Overall Opinion –

This series is recommended for the characters and the script. It is a worthwhile watch for those who prefer to watch romantic fictional tales.
