Drama Digest
The drama is set in the period of the Qing Dynasty, and shows that China is in turmoil. The land, of China is filled with sorcerers and conjurers. Most of them are nothing but con artists. Then comes our main lead Kong Xue Li, a budding young policeman, and Fang Dong, a keen-minded coroner. This duo started to uncover hoax detectives, using their wits and knowledge of contemporary science to expose scammers for what they truly are. They show people the true colors of these con artists. But when the powers of darkness threaten to bring terror and death to the residents of a city, the duo must step up their crime-fighting activities. Things get a little more interesting for Kong Xue Li, when he meets a sassy and beautiful no-nonsense restaurant owner named Lian Hai ping. Watch the show to find if this trio can end the violence and ghoulish terror that has the city in its grips.
The Feel-Good Part
The drama focuses on the comedy aspects of the cases that the main leads solve and makes it entertaining for us to watch. The plot is perfect to binge-watch. All the scenes provide us with comedic relief and make the drama interesting. OSTs’ were lovely and apt for each situations.
The Disappointing Part
It is best not to watch the series with the expectations one has of one to do with detective investigations. Since the drama is more focused on comedy than mystery so it may be a little disappointing for mystery lovers to watch.

Star Power
Zhang Yu Jia, Wu Cheng xu and Liang Jie brought life to their characters and beautifully acted each scene in the drama. Their chemistry was mind-blowing. All the actors gave their best.

The male lead and female lead have been incredible, and their chemistry is good to see. Moreover, the second lead’s acting was pretty good.
