Drama Digest

In the peaceful Qingqiu Country of Jiangzhou, on the banks of Qingshan Lake, resides Su Xiao He.

Mo Xiuran, prince of the Meow kingdom, evolves into the Qingiqu Kingdom’s general. He meets Su Xiaohe, an innocent and brilliant girl, and creates a contractual tie with her. While attempting to break up the couple, they find themselves in numerous funny situations and become the brunt of jokes. They eventually get along, and Mo Xiuran assists Su Xiaohe, and they embark on a journey to find her long-lost brother.

The Feel-Good Part

“Be my cat” has all of the right ingredients for a captivating drama: The perfect cast, particularly Kevin Xiao as Xiu Ran with his cat-like face and Tian Xi Wei as Thyme with her refreshing character, good chemistry between the leads with their playful jabs and adorable interaction, beautiful cinematography and a decent budget for the production, unexpected plot twists and climax, and, last but not least, short 16 episodes and a great ending.

The Disappointing Factor

As difficult as it is to pick out flaws in this fluffy meow storyline, the drama is undeniably less flawed.

In-Depth Analysis

Xiao He, the cheerful owner of a small pet shop, is as popular as the adorable animals she works with. Xiao has never been one to fantasize about far-off locations or epic adventures, so when she comes across a gorgeous blue stone one day, the idea that it is anything other than a stone never occurs to her. She had no idea that one rock will affect her life forever.

Xiu Ran has no choice but to seek assistance from Xiao He. After agreeing to help only if a contract is signed, the two start on an incredible journey in the hopes of bringing Xiu Ran home.

 Star Power

Kevin and Xi Wei, the central protagonists, both performed well in this drama. The leads have wonderful chemistry, and the casting was brilliant.

Overall Opinion

This drama is a foozeball of fluffiness and an amazing shot story. A sweet, hilarious, and family-friendly series. It’s appropriate for people of all ages. It did not drag and did not have an overly intricate plot. It’s lighthearted and heartwarming, and it’s a terrific way to pass the time while watching other, more intense dramas.
