Her goal in life is to develop a video game. Luckily her path gets crossed with that of Ahn Min-Hyuk, the wealthy CEO of a video game company. Min-Hyuk, upon seeing her abilities, makes a deal with her, which ends up with Bong-soon becoming his bodyguard. This series is hilarious and has a lot of heartfelt moments as well. We connect deeply with our protagonist, and we get to see the full extent of her powers as the series progresses.
2. Moving
Moving is a new series which was released in August 2023, and it follows the lives of Kim Bong-Seok, our male protagonist, as well as Jang Hui-Soo, our female protagonist. It becomes clear from the beginning that they are not just ordinary high-school kids. Kim Bon Seok has the unique ability to fly, and Hui-Soo can heal as, we later discover. We also see that their powers are hereditary, and just like that, we get immersed into a world of forces, deception, and love. We follow Jin Seon-mi, a woman who can interact with ghosts and spirits. As a little girl, Seon Mi had accepted an offer by the Devil King, Woo to steal a mysterious fan from a mansion. However, in the process, she released the Monkey King also known as Son Oh-gong. Son Oh-gong promises to protect Seon if she calls him however, after promising this, he takes away her memory of his name. Years later, we see that Seon runs into Son Oh-Gong again.
4. The Girl Who Sees Smells
In this series, we follow, Choi Moo Gak, a police detective, who has tragically lost his sister when he had been busy trying to solve the Bar Code murders. Subsequently, we meet our female protagonist, Oh Cho Rim, who was also traumatized by the event but had lost her memories related to the murders. However, she did gain an extraordinary ability to see smells. Thus, both Choi Rim and Moo Gak team up together to solve the murders.
5. My Lovely Liar
My Lovely Liar is another new series released on July 31, 2023. Here, we follow Mok Sol Hee, a young woman with the remarkable ability to hear lies. However, due to her abilities, she has lost faith in other people, and she feels her powers to be a burden. One day, her entire life changes when she meets Kim Do Ha, our male protagonist, who is also her neighbour. Do Ha has become a suspect in a murder investigation. Their situation becomes complicated, and both start to grow closer and develop feelings for each other.
6. Bring It On, Ghost
Bring it On, Ghost is an exciting watch. We follow Park Bong-Pal, who has the unique ability to see and interact with ghosts. We also find out that he can physically touch them and fight them. Thus, this encourages him to become an exorcist as a part-time job. Which led him to encounter Hyun-Ji, our female protagonist who is also a high-school ghost. Throughout the series, we see both get closer to each other, and slowly fall in love.
7. When Time Stopped
We follow the love story between Moon Joon Woo, our male protagonist, and Kim Sun Ah, our female lead. We discover that Joon Woo possesses the ability to freeze time. Despite this ability, Joon Woo is a pretty lonely man who does not find life pleasurable however, this changes when he meets Sun Ah. Sun Ah is seemingly an ordinary woman, except she is not affected by Joon Woo’s powers.
8. Behind Your Touch
Behind Your Touch is again a new series that is hilarious. Our main protagonist here is Bong Ye-Bun, a woman who can see the past of animals when she touches them. She lives a peaceful life in the village of Mujin. Somehow, she gets involved with Moon Jang Yeol, a detective. Together, they end up solving cases in Mujin; this is also when a serial killer suddenly appears in this quiet, peaceful village.
9. The School Nurse Files
This series is unique in its concept. Our main protagonist here is Ahn Eun-Youngg, a school nurse who has the remarkable ability to see jelly-shaped monsters. These monsters had been made by the residue of human desires. She also can remove them. Her weapon of choice becomes a BB gun and a fake knife. She soon teams up with Hong In-Pyo, a teacher in the school, and together, they protect the students from these mysterious jellies.
10. Uncanny Encounter
In Uncanny Encounter, our protagonist, So Mun, has incredible physical strength. His monstrous strength is his unique ability. He is a part of a particular group of people called Counter. Each of them in the group has their skills, and their main task is to take down evil spirits and exorcise them. Alongside our main lead, we have Do Ha-Na, Ga Mo Tak, Chu Mae-Ok, and Choi Jang-Mool, who all have their abilities.
