10. Uhm Jung-Hwa

She went through four months of chemotherapy after that. In 2016, the illness went into remission after three years of fighting it. Following her doctor's advice, May Lee had her ovaries and uterus removed to reduce the risk of recurrence.

 

8. Kim Jung Hyun

Kim Jung-Hyun, a South Korean actor born on April 5, 1990, is most notable for his performances in 'Welcome to Waikiki' and 'Crash Landing on you. In the Korean drama 'Time', Kim Jung Hyun played the male lead and due to his eating and sleeping issues, he had to quit the play in the middle. After a brief hiatus, he returned to acting with 'Crash Landing on You'.

 

7. Goo Hye Sun

Goo Hye Sun was one of the main characters in 'You Are Too Much', but she had to quit the production halfway through. Goo Hye Sun had a severe allergic reaction and got hospitalized. Due to her health issues, Goo Hye Sun was unable to return to the drama.

Heo Sol-Ji is a South Korean singer who goes by the moniker Solji. She worked as a vocal coach before joining EXID as the group's leader and lead vocalist in July 2012. Solji had to take a break after being diagnosed with hyperthyroidism in 2016. Solji went on sabbatical for more than a year due to many therapies and Solji returned to EXID in 2018 and stated that she had healed from hyperthyroidism.

Moon Geun-young is an actress from South Korea. To cure her acute compartment syndrome, Moon Geun Young had to undergo emergency surgery. Moon Geun Young had to postpone her activities as well to recuperate since she had to undergo further operations over time. Moon Geun Young made her K-Drama comeback on 'Catch the Ghost' after taking a break from acting.

 

4. Kim Bum

Kim Bum in his twenties was diagnosed with degenerative arthritis. He took a day off work to attend his treatment at the hospital. His sudden weight reduction for the K-drama, as well as his involvement in a vehicle accident in 2009, all led to his illness. Kim Bum is now in good physical shape and is starring in the JTBC drama 'Law School'.

Kim Woo Bin was diagnosed with nasopharyngeal cancer in the year 2017. To begin therapy, Kim Woo Bin had to put an end to almost all of his activities. Kim Woo Bin decided to take a break from acting for a while. Fans were naturally startled when his agency revealed in 2017 that he had been diagnosed with nasopharyngeal cancer. The 31-year-old was able to recuperate after receiving counselling. He's now in discussions to feature with his girlfriend, Shin Min Ah, in the K-drama 'Our Blues'.
