Drama Digest

The earth had overrun by a mysterious alien force known as the Neuroi, who had assumed aircraft-like bodies and spread a poisonous vapor, on an altered Earth in World War II. As a result, rather than engaging in internal conflict, the world’s armed forces have united to challenge the threat of the Neuroi. The military instead employs Witches, young girls with magical skills capable of combating the Neuroi, as ordinary weapons are ineffective against the Neuroi’s technology. Witches can use special devices known as Striker Units, which have designs based on real-life aircraft, to fly through the skies and strengthen their magical power in battle. The Witches, inspired by famous real-life pilots, develop animal ears and tails with their magic. The Suomus Independent Volunteer Aerial Squadron is the subject of the light novel series, which centers on dogfighter Tomoko Anabuki. The primary anime series centers on Yoshika Miyafuji, a Fus Empire youth who joins the titular Strike Witches to look into her father’s passing and aid in the war against the Neuroi. The Brave Witches spin-off anime series centers on a Fus girl named Hikari Karibuchi, who joins the group to battle in replacement of her injured sister Takami.

The Feel-Good Part

The Disappointing Factor

The anime series has poor direction. The animation of the anime series is not good. Character development is minimal.

In-Depth Analysis

Fumikane Shimada used several magazine artwork sections to create the Japanese media mashup known as the Strike Witches. Since then, the franchise has appeared in several light novels, manga, anime series, and video games. The main characters in the series are teenage girls who engage in aerial combat while using devices linked to their legs. The cast and crew of Strike Witches: 501st Joint Fighter Wing Take Off! reprised their roles for the television series World Witches Take Off!, which ran from January 13 through March 31, 2021. There are 12 episodes in the entire season. The series streamed on Crunchyroll with English subtitles.

Star Power

The television program’s main draw is its author. The plot is highly entertaining, and the crew put in the effort.

Overall Opinion

It is an enjoyable animation. For an in-depth comprehension, viewers must watch the anime’s earlier seasons.
