Anime Digest

Till his death, Hanagaki Takemichi has an unfulfilling life. He contemplates his friends’ ultimate fate after waking up 12 years in the past and makes an effort to avert a bad outcome.

The Feel Good Part

The one redeeming feature, in our opinion, is its faultless and gorgeous character design.

The Disappointing Factor

This anime received a lot of attention, but its directing and screenplay fell flat.

In-Depth Analysis

Tokyo Revengers is a slow-burning anime that lacks a satisfying conclusion. Even though the anime focuses on gangs and combat, the main protagonists lack fighting skills. Takemichi cries and begs for his life. Our protagonist is utterly helpless, which makes it challenging to build a compelling plot. The plot development began deteriorating toward the end due to flashbacks and interpersonal issues. You can consider these as filler episodes. Even if the manga is excellent, there are a few issues with the anime adaptation that could get resolved in the following season.

Star Power

The voice actors do great justice to the characters.

Overall Opinion

The voice actors lure in most of the fans. It is entertaining to watch but has no strong storyline.
