Anime Digest

The story follows a high school girl named Mieurko, who suddenly starts seeing supernatural beings. These supernatural beings tend to cling to people without much of their knowledge. In an effort to avoid them, Miko makes a good-faith effort to maintain a poker face while claiming she can’t see them. She is worried about how they will respond to her unusual abilities. However, anytime one of them approaches her too closely, Miko becomes genuinely frightened but maintains her act. She tries very hard to live her life as a normal high school student but is always worried sick about the people she cares about and how those supernatural beings can hurt them. She needs to find a way to save herself as well as the people around her.

The Feel-Good Part

The show is equal part horror and equal part comedy along with slice-of-life. Everything in the drama is perfect. The characters are fantastic, the story is interesting, and the animation is beautiful.

The Disappointing Factor

The internal monologue Miko sometimes has is rather illogical. She asks herself some really dumb questions, which are surprising coming from a girl like Miko, because she is that calm, composed, and smart girl, but it’s okay, everyone has their dumb moments. Another thing is that some things in the show don’t make any sense, and they are questionable.

In-Depth Analysis

The show has a simple story but is still capable of evoking many emotions. Dealing with ghosts takes a huge toll on Miko’s life, and that is visible on her face. She is always worried about the spirits harming her best friend, Hana. All she wants to do is keep the people she cares about and herself safe. The ghosts are truly scary, and it’s a good thing this is an anime and things like this don’t happen to people in real life. It is a good slice-of-life show with a story that captures your attention from the very first episode. The show has the perfect blend of comedy and horror. As the show goes on, it grasps its seriousness but doesn’t lose the comedy aspect, which makes it a bit of a lighthearted show even though it has scary supernatural beings. The environment is intriguing and will capture your interest from the start. It is engaging and it is not straight-up scary that you’ll be sitting in a corner and shivering. No, it is not that scary. It just has a feeling about itself and nothing much. The characters are cute and captivating. They all have a charm about them that makes them likable. Yulia considers Miko her rival as she can also see ghosts but less powerful ones. It is interesting to see their friendship grow. As for the animation, it is amazing. The colors are vibrant and catchy, and the animation itself is very clear and pleasing to look at.

Star Power

The characters are all very good. The character of Miko is outstanding. She doesn’t deserve the things happening to her. You are going to sympathize with her. The supporting roles are also amazing. The voice acting was on the spot.

Overall Opinion

Overall, the show hits the spot and is a very interesting watch. The story is fantastic, along with the characters and animation. If you are looking for something in a similar genre, you should give it a try.
