Anime Digest

A child named Ryouma Takebayashi lives deep in the wilderness, isolated from any human interaction. He has a peculiar obsession with slimes and keeps them as pets. He also has a strong physique and good compatibility with magic, despite his youth. All of this is because three gods provide Ryouma a second chance to pursue one goal: to relish the wonders of life, despite his former life’s hardships.

The Feel-Good Part

The characters are all pleasant, and they each have their own tasks and responsibilities. So far, everything has gone smoothly. That is, so far, though I doubt they will change much. Unless something significant occurs. Everyone appears to be genuine, cheerful, or in a peaceful camp with no conflicts. The MC in general, who, as is customary when he arrives in Isekais, comes from a bad past, or died and was summoned here, had a similar fate, or at least classified into that category, but he was more of an ordinary guy. It’s fairly typical. The art style may represent this, as it is bright, colourful, and lacks any dark tones that would ordinarily alert you to the possibility of something being wrong. It’s attractive and functional. It’s nice and pleasant for this event, just like the sound. The animation is also nice, and the monsters so far don’t seem bad at all; they’re all very great.

The Disappointing Factor

This isn’t a show about how powerful the main character can become or how large his harem can get. Instead, this is a show about a person who had very serious intrapersonal challenges in his previous life, coming to grips with them and opening up to others in order to learn how to live a new life.

In-Depth Analysis

Ryouma Takebayashi is a little girl who lives deep in the jungle, distant from any human interaction. He keeps numerous varieties of slimes as pets, which is a peculiar hobby. He also has a strong physique and good compatibility with magic, despite his early age. All of this is because three gods provide Ryouma a second chance to achieve one purpose in his previous life: to relish the wonders of life. Ryouma encounters people that will affect his current life forever after three years of peaceful solitude. When he meets and assists other troops in tending to a wounded comrade, the group persuades him to join them to the ducal family of a nearby town. Ryouma agrees and sets out on a quest to discover the huge world outside his village.

Star Power

Like any other Isekai anime, the tale revolves around a man who was reincarnated in another planet. But there’s a twist: the plot isn’t quite what you’d expect. Our main character is primarily a slime tamer and researcher. And the story progresses to show how he employs those slimes, as well as his own knowledge, in his daily life. As a result, watching it is pretty calming.

Overall Opinion

It’s a great and heartwarming story. There’s nothing overly shounen or shoujo about it. Just a decent, clean anime to help you forget about your problems for a while.
