What happens when a special friendship transcends beyond being platonic? This anime is all about friendship and love.
Adapted from the Japanese yuri novel by Hitoma Iruma, the book and series are about two girls: Sakura Adachi and Hougetsu Shimamura.
Adachi is a first-year student, who is an introvert, works part-time in a Chinese restaurant, skips classes regularly, and does not get along with her parents. While bunking a lesson, she meets Shimamura in the school gymnasium.
Shimamura, also like Adachi, is a first-year student, loves to miss classes but not as much as Adachi, dislikes socializing, but loves to take care of others. It is her ability to be there for others that attracts Adachi to her.
Over a mutual love for table tennis, the two form a friendship and, in time it becomes stronger than just an amicable and warm rapport.
Will the bond bring them closer or tear them apart forms the series?
The Feel-Good Part
The anime has spectacular animation, and the voice-over artists have done a splendid job of bringing across the emotions. Also, the series touches upon the aspect of two girls, being more than friends.

Can two people from the same sex be more than just friends? Will their relationship bring them closer or split them up?
The anime is all about two girls, who are similar to each other, as they both love to take off from classes, and do not like to socialize with others. These qualities initiate a warm friendship where they like to spend time with each other over a game of ping-pong.
But, when the friendship moves to something beyond, then the challenges begin. In addition, there are other characters such as Akira Hino and Tarumi (Shimamura’s childhood friend)
Do these hurdles make them strong or will it separate them is the focus?
Star Power
The voice-over artists have done a fabulous job but the true star is the animation.
