The Feel-Good Part
The show wastes no time in getting to the main plot because of its relatively short run period, which makes it quite easy to watch and interesting from the very beginning. The show has intriguing characters that are easy to connect to as they have strong backstories and the chemistry between the characters was engaging enough. The series is light-hearted and humorous in its tone.
The Disappointing Factor
The story isn’t well-developed; there are a lot of plot-holes and elements that make no sense. The narrative structure of the story was inconsistent and disorganised, which often made the show seem messy. Additionally, The series has very little to offer in terms of plot that isn’t covered in the synopsis, which may make the audience feel like they know everything beforehand. There are no surprises and twists, which may get boring after a certain point. The characters have close to no development and strong character arcs. It relies on drama caused by external sources rather than internal conflict, which can come across as shallow. The lack of growth in characters almost makes watching the show feel like a pointless activity.
In-Depth Analysis
The drama suffers from a series of missed opportunities to present a great show with a good plot. None of the emotional scenes land because of how little then audience is invested in the story as the characters aren’t fully fleshed out. The series may have benefited from being a little longer so it could add depth to the plot and create satisfying character arcs that would be a lot more engaging for the audience to watch. Despite being a clichéd story, it could have been impactful if it focused on themes of disability as it could have made the show feel more unique.
Star Power
The performances were probably the highlight of the show. All the actors did a great job in their respective characters. The portrayal of each character was distinctive and well-executed, which helped in engaging the viewers. Despite, not having a lot to work with in terms of the way the characters were written, the cast still managed to shine through.
Overall Opinion
The show doesn’t have a lot to offer, it is clichéd and often boring. This is an easy skip for fans of the romance genre as there is an abundance of better shows in said genre. You may enjoy it if you keep your expectations low and just go with the flow.
