Drama Digest

Su Yi is in the pursuit of finding her past memory back in search of her true identity, as she loses her memory in a fire accident. She forgot all of the time seven years ago when her father was slandered and killed in the accident and all about her lover, Li Jia Cheng. She then meets a charming and handsome Li Jia Cheng again, who has a cold heart with no feelings and warmth at all, where he is meant to join his family’s hereditary business, which is already decided before his birth. They both have different paths, but they both cross each other and it leads to a transformational journey, which changes both for the better. Su Yi’s time spent with Li Jia Cheng helps her to regain her memory and to make her remember everything seven years ago.

The Feel-Good Part

They have showcased real emotions on the stage, which speaks to the viewers the most. The audience has perceived this drama as unconventional, and different from the rest. While the other dramas mainly glorify how amazing the couple making and finding love is, having good looks and good morals simultaneously, this series doesn’t take that path. It takes instead a lonely way of showcasing the struggle made to find meaningful relationships and the painful process of retaining them. Memory loss might be a popular theme in Chinese Dramas, but this show has a different take.

The Disappointing Factor

Despite being an inspiring story, the story is not new enough to excite the audience. Such similar stories had already been made and had been a success, mainly set on a fictional theme which seems pretentious and flashy. The drama is slow-paced and lacks good acting and expressions. The chemistry between the main leads is also disappointing. The story is confusing and difficult to understand for the fans. There are many plot holes and the climax doesn’t justify the story.

In-Depth Analysis

The story unfolded piece by piece with each episode, and that’s the beauty of this series. It keeps on getting better and better. The romantic segment is better, with good flashbacks showing her life before the fire accident. The mission Su Yi has to know what happened to her father seven years ago is also intriguing.  This is one of the beautiful stories made in a drama. The series is straightforward. It is already established that the love would blossom between the main characters, but the climax spoke for itself. It was self-explanatory and rewarding to watch until the very end.

Star Power

The animation and visuals for the show are well made. The acting is applaudable, and the music is well-executed. The characters are adorable with funny dialogues and good acting. The overall crux of the story is very fun and amazing to watch, with the seriousness kept alive in their respective positions. Characters like Su Yi shone in such a framework, where she is the main female lead of the show, but makes so many mistakes and fails herself in every scenario which is fun and ironic to watch. Her life transforms when she meets her hero, Li Jia Shang, who changes too for the better.

Overall Opinion

It has been a revolutionary show to watch shot during the pandemic. It is recommended to boost your spirits during these times.
