Drama Digest: 

Ling Ran is a famous detective who solves crimes using a polygraph test. Ling Ran operates polygraph tests to her advantage to solve the crime and earns a good name. Lin Ran’s father, Ling Bin, was a cop and was murdered while investigating a crime. This incident took place 12 years ago.  A serial killer whose victims were from the bottom of society. The story also revolves around Ling ran and her current partner Chen Hu, head of the Interpol Detachment Crime Unit. They both have different values on solving crime and have an understanding between themselves. Their relationship is established on acceptance and has a hint of mystery.

The Feel-Good Part: 

The cases give the audience an immense sense of justice. Evil coming to light and the victims getting justice is very satisfying to watch for the viewers. Since ling ran shown as a mastermind, it gives women a sense of empowerment. The story can grab the audience’s attention. The story has the right pace to it.

The Disappointing Factor:

The serial killings were not solved promptly, which keeps the audience curious. The long wait for the mystery to be solved can be frustrating. The main element of the drama is the polygraph tests which are exaggerated and not realistic.

In-Depth Analysis:

Most crime dramas primarily focus on the lives of the leads, then the crime in question.  This drama sheds light on the evil that occurs due to social pressure and the shortcomings of human beings. The cases shown in the show are pretty straightforward with little plot holes, but these simple cases show the lives of people and what they have lost due to becoming the victim of crimes. The show Explores real-life social crimes occurring and gives the audience a sense of justice. The simple cases showed the ability to grab the audience’s attention and teach them about the lives of victims and their struggles.

The Star Power:

The female lead Yu Na does a fantastic job portraying strong and intelligent women. The cast members portray their characters effortlessly.

Overall Opinion:

Overall the drama is a worthy watch. The audience would not feel disappointed after watching the drama. The drama turns out to be a good crime drama with all the episodes.
