Ji Kang In is nicknamed Yaksha or Yacha due to his cold nature. He leads a secret operations team in Shenyang in China. He does not hesitate to complete his missions by whatever means available. Meanwhile, Han Ji Hoon is a prosecutor in Seoul who follows everything by the book. He gets demoted and sent to Shenyang, China. Ji Hoo is assigned a mission to track Kang In and his movements. Knowingly he gets tangled up between spies. He finds himself in a war between the spies. Would it put his life in danger? What is Kang In’s next mission? Will Kang In and Ji Hoon get along and diminish the threat that seems to hover over them?

The Feel-Good Part

The alluring cinematography lures the viewers. The action scenes are satisfying with a fast pace. The integration of multiple languages is splendid. The movie is packed with action scenes with a shade of comedy here and there. The plot twists are gripping. The interconnection of the characters in the storyline is impressive. The storyline doesn’t include any other story than that about the spies. It does not deviate from the plot intended to be displayed. The actors and actresses have given life to their characters. The plot gives hints about a sequel making the viewers anticipate it. There seem to be no plot holes.

The Disappointing Factor

The plot has a predictable storyline and is dramatized overly in some parts. The narrative is chaotic. The story is jerky here and there, leaving the viewers unsatisfied. The incorporation of too many characters confuses the audience. There is no sense or explanation for how everything goes their way, making it hilarious. The villain’s character is weak. International politics is a sensitive topic and is controversial for a few people.

In-Depth Analysis

Han Ji Hoon’s character portrays determination to re-establish one’s reputation. He shows no hesitation in risking his life to prove himself. It shows that one’s self-esteem is crucial in showing their strength. Ji Kang In’s occupation shows that being a spy is no easy job. One has to be intelligent and be able to think outside the box to complete missions while being a spy. The movie attempts to show an international threat and its effects and measures to counter it. The storyline also shows the viewpoints of South Korea on North Korea, China, and Japan. The tricks and methods are used in the movie to encapture the viewers’ attention to the difficulty of the espionage system. The comradeship between Ji Kang In and Han Ji Hoon is remarkable and portrays an ideal partnership.

Star Power

Sol Kyung Gu and Park Hae Soo have efficiently established the comradeship of Ji Kang In and Han Ji Hoon, respectively. They have played their parts incredibly. The fighting scenes are portrayed marvelously by the cast of the secret operations team and the spies of other countries.
