The story proceeds when one phone call connects the two 28 y/o woman, and their lives are changed unrectifiably. Two people live in different times which reciprocates their fate. Young-Sook lives in the past and Seo-Yeon in the present.

The Feel-Good Part

The Call creates a distinguishing chilling and suspenseful vibe that will keep audience on the edge of their seats through its effective acting and mysterious atmosphere. It is a combination of terrific fun and plenty of wickedness. Cinematography of the movie is outstanding.

The Disappointing Factor

A young woman is beaten, tied up and burned. There ’s a lot of blood, violence and gore. There are several scenes that show stabbing and adults are killed with knives. You’ll gave to watch body parts in plastic bags and cleaning up of blood. Lots of crying, terror, screaming and peril.

People who are sensitive at heart, should give it a thought before going for the movie.

In-Depth Analysis

Seo-Yeon  moves back into her home where her family lived. Her mother used to be in a hospital for vulnerable adults and her father was dead. After she was settled and unpacked, Seo-Yeon receives a call from a young woman who was yelling for help. She soon realizes that, Young-Sook, the woman on the phone, by any means is calling from the past from the same house that she is living in. Young-sook gains her trust and makes her father alive again. Situation changes gradually and now her mother was not in the hospital, but in the same house living naturally with her daughter and husband. Seo-Yeon advices Young-Sook that she can be killed by her stepmother. Somehow, Young-Sook escapes her death and start to expect more from Seo-Yeon.

Star Power

Jeon Jong Seo’s acting is top notch  and captivating. Her gestures, facial expressions, script delivery, everything was done in a perfect way. You’ll surely get chills while watching her snickering part in the movie.

Park Shin Hye  was incredible in her own ways. Her range of emotions and action is unmatched in the movie.

Overall Opinion

Overall it’s an outstanding movie with great cinematography. The Call is a movie that thrives on its effective use of mysterious atmosphere and is entertaining enough to keep you engaged. People who prefer open endings and psychological stuff should give this movie a try.
