In-Depth Analysis

Body image has been a big topic for all genders. Our societies have certain norms on how a person should look and behave. This short film by Ryu Deok Hwan talks about one instance of this particular issue. The beautiful mother of two kids constantly checks her body and weight. But to her dismay and surprise, she keeps gaining even when she controls eating. This short film is from the father’s point of view. He notices the small things his wife does that induce weight gain. From his point of view, his wife was only eating a small amount at the dinner table. When cooking, though, always taste the dish. She does not let any food go to waste in any manner. Instead of telling his spouse that you are not overweight, you are still lovely, or any other soothing words, he eats what she eats. He helps her and supports her in every way possible to make her happy and comfortable in her body. These small things make quite a difference in a person’s life. The short film gave us a glimpse of reality in the cutest way possible.

Star Power

All the cast did a great job. The acting was realistic, and all seemed like just a typical nuclear family to which the audience could relate.

Overall Opinion
