“Marusade Kintaro” is a Japanese animated short movie of only 9 minutes. This movie was made purely for comedy with the sole purpose of humor and entertainment.
The Feel-Good Part
Although the show received a lot of criticism, it had an important message that shows that true love prevails even in impossible situations. Kintarou is always there for Makoto, even in the toughest situations, and saves him from all kinds of danger.
The Disappointing Factor
The main reason for the immense criticism that the show received is the short duration of the movie. It didn’t have a particular ending or a proper storyline. The stories and incidents started nowhere and the context of the show was still unknown. Besides, those nine minutes of the show were full of vulgar scenes and indecent expressions, which upset many fans. The show had no base and was vague.
In-Depth Analysis
The story is about Makoto Onodera. He is a young chairperson at the Onodera academy. He holds the power of exclusive jurisdiction, but his administration is threatened by the school staff of the Kawakara branch. They plan to take his position by consummating a marriage with him. According to them, in that way, the power will be in their hands. But Makoto is accompanied by Kintarou Masaka, his childhood friend, bodyguard, and lover. Kintarou is always around Makoto and will run to help him whenever necessary.
Star Power
The voice actors Saitou Souma and Morikawa Toshiyuki played the lead roles, Makoto and Kintarou. Both of them did an outstanding performance.
Overall Opinion
Overall, it is a comedic show that was made to deliver humor. Instead, it received extreme criticism because of the inappropriate and indecent scenes included in the show and also the short duration, which provided no background story or a plot for the viewers to understand the story. Considering the 9-minute duration, it is not a complete waste of time. It can be watched as a refreshment.
