As they get to know each other more deeply, their bonds become stronger and closer. Their experience as a team and personal life decisions help them transform for the better. Their career faces some ups and downs with their friendships.

The Feel-Good Part

The movie is female-centered and about women trying to achieve their dreams in a male-controlled industry was carried out well. The direction and the production value did seem fine in the movie. The backgrounds in some of the scenes seemed beautifully created and captured. The authentic portrayal of the entertainment industry for newcomers got depicted throughout. The growth in friendship bonds and character developments was evident in the movie. This movie also has a few great soundtracks and dance performances that keep audiences entertained.

The Disappointing Factor

The narrative was unstable and repetitive at times. The movie was overdramatic in some ways, with some basic storyline that is far too predictable. The pacing of the film was sometimes uneven, which can get annoying. This movie tries to be encouraging and powerful, yet it lacks somewhere.

In-Depth Analysis

A group of girls came from different provinces to Beijing and began living together as a girl dance-pop group. At first, they all have difficulties settling with each other, but as time goes they form a bond of friendship. In an underground practice room, they meet a boy band, and due to a few misunderstandings, they get on the wrong foot with each other. Both teams battle to show their skills and get the practice room for themselves. Though in the end, they all perform together as a group. The realistic portrayal of a novice group trying to make big in an industry that is hard to crack with their problems to face. The courage and commitment required to gain fame in a fast-paced world and build relationships got captured throughout the movie.

Overall Opinion

The movie is a rise to the fame trope with a friendship aspect that will keep the viewer’s hearts warm. The movie sheds some light on the unexpected hardships to reach glamour and fame that might be unreliable. The movie is similar to an English film named Pitch Perfect.
