The story takes place in the period when Qinghe Nie Sect was dealing with the ancestral knife tomb incident. The tomb had to be restored in its original form to ensure that peace is ensured in the Nie sect. To successfully carry this out Nie Mingjue brought Nie Huaisang along. During this journey, Nie Huaisang transforms into the next generation sect leader from a playful disciple. Nie Mingjue recognizes this and helps him grow to the optimal level.
The original story is from The Untamed and the sequel of the movie is called The Living Dead.
The Feel-Good Part
The relationship of the brothers is the core of the story. The film gives an in-depth understanding of what their bond looks like, which may not have been possible to show in the original show. The characters that weren’t given much screen time in The Untamed are given time to shine here. The characters express a full range of emotions, which is fascinating to see as it gives more insight into the many layers of the character. The film is quite fast-paced; it’ll be over before you know it. This is because the film has well-choreographed and executed action scenes for the most part, which moves the plot a lot faster.
