Movie Digest

Based on the tragedy loop that a mother and daughter encounter twenty years apart in their generation, in which a young mother is convicted guilty of manslaughter and her daughter is found guilty of drug possession after a 20-year gap between the two cases. Watch the film to see what happens next in the two tragic incidents and see what happens further.

The Feel-Good Part

The Feel good part of the movie is that it explores the subject of loneliness in-depth and depicts it. Alan Fung’s chi-character-driven Han’s drama method outshines the film, and his adaptation of the tale from true crime events is quite excellent.

The Disappointing Factor

The film’s most disappointing aspect is that several of the scenes and dialogues fall short of the audience’s expectations, and it gradually loses track as it nears its conclusion, as opposed to its beginning, which sets high expectations with its action sequences.

In-Depth Analysis

Through its original plotline, the film can capture that criminal drama vibe. And the premise of a crime tragedy cycle sets it apart from other crime films. It also depicts the detective side of the police officer more clearly and creates suspense in several instances.

Star Power

Hanna Chan and Tony Wu are the movie’s leading ladies; their connection as a husband and wife is well depicted in the film, and they have played their roles with precision and a thorough understanding of their characters.

Overall Opinion

Overall, the film is enjoyable to watch for a single viewing and offers something unique in the crime genre. Some of the scenes are startling, while others are emotionally moving in a positive sense, but the ending is a little mushy.
