Drama Digest

Triage is a Thai medical drama that aired in 2022. The drama tells the story of an emergency room doctor, Tin, who gets stuck in a time loop after failing to save a patient’s life. The timeline keeps repeating which provides a chance for the ER doctor to save the life of the university student, Tol. Tin cannot escape the time loop till he saves Tol’s life.

The Feel-Good Part

This BL drama series is one of the most well-made and original series in recent times. The acting was very effortless and natural, and the chemistry between the two leads was the cherry on top. The storyline is written very thoughtfully as everything is interconnected and is a piece of the puzzle which fits perfectly, kudos to the writers! The background score suits the scenes perfectly resulting in a perfect outcome on-screen.

The Disappointing Factor

Though the series has an amazing plotline, the later episodes failed to match up with the initial episodes of the series. There is a little change in the character’s personalities in the later episodes, which might be hard for the viewers to connect with the characters. Spoiler Alert! The ending of the series was poorly executed and surely felt rushed.

In-Depth Analysis

Triage is a well-written Thai BL series that adjoins the several branches of storytelling together, in a way that doesn’t make it messy. There is originality in the plotline and narration, despite using the theme of time-loop. The small details which might seem unnecessary, perfectly fit into the puzzle. The acting was top-notch and the characters were perfectly portrayed by the actors. The narration and screenplay of the series are particularly praise-worthy because of the mystery of the next scenes, which will surely give an adrenaline rush to the viewers. However, as much as the series is well-written and executed throughout its course of airing, the finale of the series couldn’t do justice to the otherwise perfect series and did feel a bit rushed.

Star Power

Tae Darvid Kreepolrerk plays the role of Dr. Tin. Tee Thanapon Jarujitranon plays the role of Tol. The supporting roles are played by Tonnam Piamchon Damrongsunthornchai as Dr. Singharat, Aob Tanadol Wongsaardsakul as Dr. Gap, Aom Punyawee Jungcharoen as Mai, Fortune Pundita Koontawee as Dr. Fukfang, Fiat Patchata Janngeon as Varit Boonwilai, Kradum Thanayong Wongtrakul as Dr. Sak, Mild Jinna Pichit-O-Pakun as Art, Morris K. as Jinta, Jack Kittisak Patomburana as Heart, and many more.

Overall Opinion

Many of the fans who are avid Thai BL series would agree that Triage is one of the best BL series of all time, the characters, the plotline, the background score, everything adds up and produces one of the best series that will surely make the viewers hooked on till the end. The use of the theme of a time loop is quite complicated, but in this drama, there was not a single moment that became messy despite being a complicated plotline. I would surely recommend you watch this series because of its extraordinary screenplay and plotline.
