Drama Digest
The plot of Somewhere Our Love Begins mainly revolves around the central characters, that is, Panin and Arisara. The two met in Hau Hin coincidentally when, Arisara helped Panin as he was attacked by thieves. Further, Arisara mistook him for a taxi driver and even gave him money, the generosity of Arisara made Panin fall for her as she was the first girl who did not liked him for his status or money instead for his true personality. As for Arisara, the integrity of Panin made her fall for him. Though even after reaching Bangkok, Panin continued to lie about his identity and never revealed his true identity. But, their blooming love story takes a U turn when Panin finds out that his younger brother has been in love with Arisara, who was his classmate. He blames Arisara for the near drowing experience of his brother and eventually seeks out revenge even though he was conflicted about his feelings for her.
The Feel-Good Part
Somewhere Our Love Begins has explores the genre of historical, drama, romance. It has quite a number of parts which will make you feel good such as when there male Lead is possesive about the female lead, the initial meeting and the development of the relationship between the leading couple is also cute and romantic to watch and surely will give you butterflies in stomach! The OSTS of this drama is very nice to listen to and might even be added to your playlist!
The Disappointing Factor
This Thai drama has a number of factor which is quite disappointing to watch as an audience, firstly, the character of Panin’s father was quite awful and was honestly very regressive, the character is very prejudiced and would certainly frustrate the audience. Secondly, there were several scenes when the background music didn’t compliment the scene or even there were moments when the background music was a little too loud which was not necessary.
In-Depth Analysis
Somewhere Our Love Begins somehow follows the footsteps of the typical Lakorns. Those who are an avid watcher of Lakorns, would certainly recognise the story plot and predict the next scene. Though it can be considered a typical Lakorns, Somewhere Our Love Begins, does have its own uniqueness. The story is fast paced and not dragged unnecessary which is an alien concept in Lakorns! This Thai drama also showcases a great chemistry between the main leads. The character development is very commendable and has been acted out well by the actors.
Star Power
Jes Jespipat Tilapornputt plays the role of the leading man, Panin Nirapai or Nin, while Esther Supreeleela plays the female lead, Arisara Chunhagon or Ris. The character, Lookmee has been played by, Wawwa Nicha Chokprajakchat, Ben Raviyanun Takerd plays the role of Lin, Chopin Noochintra plays the role of Pokhai Nirapai or Poh, etc.
Overall Opinion
Somewhere Our Love Begins is the remake of the 2005 Lakorn/ Thai drama, Wimarn Sai, the newer version has a more evolved storyline and ofcourse the production is better! Overall, we recommend you to watch Somewhere Our Love Begins if you want to watch a Lakorn with an ancient or historical theme as the drama is set in the 70’s and the storyline is also good and will keep you entertained throughout the entire watch.
